AFAIK ffmeg supports Opus audio so is also lossless cutting available? Could this be considered for mp3DirectCut since Opus is becoming the main online audio compression codec (Youtube webm, etc.) and at least I now prefer this as lossy audio codec on PC and Smartphone.
Thank you for the handy tool. Danke. |

Opus support is on the Todo list. But not "examined" yet. |

Thanks for the response. Hopefully the support for this codec will become broad, even in (cheap) hardware; at best together with AV1 |

I looked at some Opus documentation. As assumed the format definitions are very complex. There are lots of modes for high and low bitrates, low latency specs, different frame sizes and much more. So by now I don't see any possibility of implementation in mp3DirectCut. |

Sorry to hear that, explains why there are so few tools. Too bad: Opus and AV1 will take quite a while to become mainstream... |
