Fehlermeldung beim Installieren von Xmms: Glib 1.2.2 nicht vorhanden

Hallo zusammen!


Erst mal zur Einführung, dass ich kein Linux-Profi bin...

So, und jetzt das Problem:
- Habe die README gelesen, und darin steht, ich solle zuerst "./configure" eingeben, bevor ich "make" und "make install" starte.
- eerst mal läuft alles ruhig...

Dann:
checking for glib-config... no
checking for GLIB - version >= 1.2.2... no
*** The glib-config script installed by GLIB could not be found
*** If GLIB was installed in PREFIX, make sure PREFIX/bin is in
*** your path, or set the GLIB_CONFIG environment variable to the
*** full path to glib-config.
configure: error: *** GLIB >= 1.2.2 not installed - please install first ***

Nach Eingabe von "rmp -qa |grep glib" kommt:
glibc-2.3.3-97
glibc-locale-2.3.3-98
glib-1.2.10-586
glib2-2.2.3-117
glibc-devel-2.3.3-97
taglib-1.0-80

Ich nix verstehen
habe auf der Suse-Linux-9.1-CD den Glib-devel gefunden, und mal installiert, half aber nix

Wer kann mir helfen?
