can anyone tell me how could i make backup before update the firmware to medion 9781?

Why don't You ask this question in an english speaking board?

Or ask in german?

Don't you have a transferring-software for this player? Or is the player recognized as an external drive?

What exactly do You want to backup? Or: what data is on the player You don't have also on Your PC?

The last way, if anything else fails: connect the headphone out of the player to the line-in of Your PC. Play the soundfiles and record them with the PC...

sorry for inconvenience about the langwage.
anyway i first tryed 2 times to write on the english forum of this site but it gave me errors and in german i'd like to be able to write. if u like u can use deutch, i can translate (about 70%
in this forum i found topics about md 9781 with google, this beeing a deutch device, the best portable device i ever had and i'd like to keep it working after a such dangerous operation like firmware update. this means that it's bios (i think this contain the codecs too) and software which lets me press on buttons and happen the right thing, theese can be changed with something new. if this new update don't work ok, i'll want to rewrite the old one but i dont have it, nor i don't know how to copy it first from the player.
only someone who already has upgraded a md 9781 knows better.

You didn't say that You want to backup the old firmware. So i thought that there are some (media-)files left on the device You weren't able to transfer to your PC...

I (as most other forum-members here) know what a firmware-update does.

If there isn't anything said in the manual about a backup-process, there probably isn't a simple way to do it. If the device crashes after the upgrade, maybe you could get a new one from their customer-support?

Remember: always use fresh batteries or full loaded accus for a firmware-upgrade! Best thing would be an AC-Adapter (right frase?)...

no way to get another one, Medion has no dealer here in RO.
anyway, i made it, and it does work anymore , and has a better sound quality from mic, now it records with a 22050Hz sample rate instead of 16000, the only change i took notice on the codec, also the most thing i needed. another change was on the usb driver and mp3 manager, important enough, now it's a happyness to transfer all kinds of files
this player is supplied from USB when linked to PC, and i have no UPS to it
maybe get one till the next update...
