Hello all.
I love the idea of 1by1, but for some reason it fails to do the thing that it should be best at - running quickly.
Whenever I change folder or try to expand a folder in the folder tree, it takes about 3 seconds to happen.
Any idea why that might be?
The folders open immediately in Windows Explorer and other media players, so it seems to be a software issue not a hardware issue.
Thanks in advance. |

Indeed, 1by1 can be slower on reading folders with many subfolders in it. Do you have a lot of folders inside the folder which needs long time to open?
The built in solution should help:
Settings => Control => "No subfolder pre-scan (faster tree)"

Thanks for the response mpesch3.
Unfortunately it isn't that. I've tried "no folder prescan" already, so it is already my default option.
The folders I'm expanding only contain another folder or two (top level of folders is artist names, next level is album titles).
It's very frustrating, as 1by1 seems to be exactly what I'm after in a media player.
Any other ideas? |

I can't this reproduce at all. For example, if I open the folder Windows/System32, this goes as quick as possible. And even without the "No subfolder scan" option within a 10th of a second.
Do you use many plugins and have large lists of different filetypes in a folder? |
