|
|
Hello, I have been converting some old tape recordings to large mp3 files, and would like to split these into individual tracks. I have played the recording to find the gap between 2 tracks, and have been able to edit out the space, but cannot find a way to "split" it at each point. The homepage shows "Track splitting with filename and tag creation" in "Features".
Can you help please? |

| There are several ways. Read the instructions (question mark > manual) or mark a title (not the pause) and save the selection (CTRL+E). |

I have read the manual many times! "The Cut button splits the current audio part into two parts. If there was a selection range, it will be cut. If the selection had a length of zero, the Cut function only splits the part."
The first option works very well - much easier than Audacity. But if I divide the file into several tracks and name each one, I cannot get it to save them as individual tracks. The original file was recorded with 128kbps CBR and is just under 120Mb.
"Save All Audio" gives a 118Mb file with a corrupted time code.
"Save Selection" will save if I drag a selection between 2 points.
"Save Split" keeps giving "sync" errors, and only saves 2, or 3 small files and one large one. I have tried this many times without success. |
