I noticed that the timeindexes in cue sheets with vbr mp3's are different in 1by1 then in other players (winamp, foobar2000, aimp2,....)
Foobar2000 uses sample accurate seeking, which is accurate, but slow - thats why I don't like it.
I suspect that 1by1 uses the average bitrate to calculate cue points.
Is there a way we can get accurate cues with vbr mp3s and still keep the speed as in current 1by1? |

No. Without seeking frame by frame it is not possible to set the accurate cue positions in VBR files. Even the TOC from the VBR header is not exact enough on longer tracks. By now, 1by1 only uses the average bitrate, indeed. Optional positioning by accurate scan should be possible, but only with a short delay on opening. mp3DirectCut uses this accurate scan on loading Cue sheets since version 2.10.
