What about direct cut of aac files?

Welcome all

For log time i was searching a some program ,which could do that.Unfortunately i ididn't find any.So i went to do cut file in simply way.I started winhex editor,and I cuted begining part,finishng part and midle part of file ,then i saved it as file2.aac.
I played it in winamp and it worked very well,no errors,no problems,and winamp showed correctly the lenght of edited file.

My suggestion is to implement such function in "mp3 direct cut" for aac files.This format sounds very well in streamed aac+ internet radio stations.And it would be helpfull after recording streamed radio

aac support is planned. But I don't know how difficult it is, where I can find file structure definitions, and when I have enough time to test or implement this thing.

For cutting of aac files you can try YAMB.

But,the file structure is completely not important,cause all players can play cropped file.I presented the simplest method in the world how to cut aac file,(and probably other streamed audio formats),just through edit theme in binary mode.
.First thing is adding aac codec (decoder) to the program,second counting miliseconds of points of trimings,end last thing divideing theme for length of file.Now we exactly know how many bytes we need to cut,and where.
Is that possible to do a prototype of my idea ,as quickly as posible?

No. At fist I need a simple description of the aac frame structure and header definitions. Also a description for file headers. Then, for playing, a decoder DLL with an understandable and easy to use interface.

Es funktioniert mit BeSplit und dem GUI WBIAS, gibts alles auf besplit.doom9.org.

Hab die BeSplit-Seite besucht. Das Tool kann eine ganze Menge und ist es sicher wert, eingesetzt zu werden. ABER: Es ist ein Transcoding Tool. Kein Direct Cut in dem Sinne, wie es die Gefolgschaft von mp3DirectCut gerne hätte. Es gibt also noch immer eine weit offene Marktlücke
