I'm not sure, if a 64-bit-dll can be used by a 32-bit software. E.g. I read, that for 64-bit Firefox you also need to have 64-bit Add-ons. Maybe thats the resaon.

But, now that I test it, it does not work with ExactAudioCopy

Why use a 64 bit version of LAME at all?

It is insignificant faster compared to the 32 bit version und there is no difference in quality at all.

Good point. Computers are my hobby, so I try things out just to see if/how they work. This won't become an important issue until Microsoft quits supporting 32bit applications. That will be a long time from now. Don't rush to fix this, but you may want to consider addressing this issue in the FAQ.
