Subject: UK Availibilty of USB 2.0 CablesI emailed Archos UK about getting a USB 2.0 cable, as I had pre
ordered the JBMM from Datamind when they said it was included.
I have had no response from Datamind, so I tried Archos, this was
the response:

Thank you for your email.
I am concerned that you feel that you have been misled – it was
certainly never Archos UK's intention to do that.
We have always been very careful in our advertising not to mislead
the customer.
The JBMM has never been advertised in the UK as being supplied with
a USB2 cable.
What we have always said is that it is compatible with USB2, but
that it only shipped with a USB1.1 cable, with the USB 2 cable being
available as an optional extra.
I am not aware of the situation in the US – they are responsible
for
their own marketing activity – but in the UK we have never openly
offered a USB2 cable as a standard, only as an option.
I am sorry for the trouble that this may have caused you,
Best regards
Colin Brown

To me that means f**k you, we have your money and if you want
any "optional extra's" you have to buy it (at a higher cost than in
America).
Top marks to Archos for Customer support. As always looking after
their loyal customers!
