Zum Thema Firmware: Wir werden wohl auf Medion warten müssen. Anbei mein E-Mail-Dialog mit dem Pogo! Service:Jesse,
thanks for answering my request so quickly! I wish the MEDION service people here in Germany would have your reaction time! Probably, I'll take the risk and will flash your FW to the device, hoping that MEDION will publish an updated German FW on their homepage, soon.
Best regards,
Martin

Martin,
There is no way of getting the FW out of the device.
I reccomend asking MEDION for a copy of that HEX file.
Regards,
Jesse

Subject: Pogo! RipFlash Plus: Problems in Germany
Hi there,
and Happy New Year to you from Germany.
Just before Christmas, your (excellent!!!) product RipFlash Plus was sold as a special item by the German food discounter ALDI under the brand name MEDION MD 9781, but with only 64 MB memory instead of 128 MB, and with a German version of the firmware 1.17 and MP3 Manager in German language. It was sold out within a few days (or should I even say within a few hours), because the price of this item was extremely low (only 99 EUROS, approximately 99 bucks!). I (amongst a few other lucky people) had the pleasure to get one of these "rare birds", and I fully enjoy the functions and features of this device. I'm running Windows ME on my PC, and by now, I had no problems, with except of the limitation, that the upload of MP3 files is not possible with the German version of the MP3 Manager software (maybe for copyright reasons). After having browsed various internet forums, I've learned, that numerous RipFlash Plus users here in Germany are having extreme problems getting the device to work with PC systems running Windows XP and USB versions higher than 1.1. What we've learned also, is that the actual versions of MP3 Manager and firmware, which you offer for download on your internet homepage, solve most of these problems and limitations. Some of us are using your current software versions now here in Germany. But flashing your firmware to the device will probably cause a loss of warranty, if the device would have any hardware problems later and must be sent to the German MEDION service center. This is the reason for my question: Is there any way to download the existing (German) firmware from the device to a hex file, which can be re-uploaded to the device in case of any guarantee problems, enabling us here to use your actual firmware version(s) without any harm? And what are your plans for any further MP3 Manager and firmware updates? Will you give them to the MEDION service center for publishing it via their homepage?
Best regards from Germany,
Martin XXXXX
